After a short hiatus, My Favourite Frequencies is back with a stacked month of events that beg to be shared! May is looking absolutely glorious, with gigs that appeal to all tastes, leaving your month fully booked with exciting experiences. Here are some that have caught my eye this month:

Full Spectrum - Jungle Bank Holiday Bash

Bristol weapons, Full Spectrum, are preparing for their first day party of the year, unleashing a full afternoon of hardcore jungle to get feral to. Hosted by No Nation, and graced with an incredible line up of Bristol's best - the sun won't be the only thing brightening up the day.

And honestly, is there really any better way to kick off Spring than with a day party? Get 7 hours of skanking in and be home before 10pm! The Jungle Bank Holiday Bash is simply the only way to prepare for the sunny stomps ahead of us.

Odd Top presents- The Sèche Takeover

02.05.25

Get ready for some pure silliness this Friday over at Death Disco, with some top notch donk, hardcore and bass from The Seche crew!

Balter not coming quick enough? This event will certainly keep you going, inviting the one and only DJ Can't Say No, Leeds legend DJ Daisycakes, Dancefloor duo It's Britneys Bitch, and local hardcore and J-core Queen, DJ Saria. This immense selection of talent is not one to sleep on - not to mention the ball pit and bubbles! So step under the Odd Top and start clowning around in the Seche this weekend!

Gia Fu

Having experienced the magic of Gia Fu myself last year, I can't help but express how much you need to check her out at Jam Jar at the end of the month.

DJ and Producer from Hong Kong, Gia Fu combines her own heritage with that of Latin America, pioneering the sound that fuses the two cultures effortlessly.

If you're a fan of Latin beats and Salsa dancing, this one is a must. Held within the wonderfully intimate Jam Jar Bar, there's something truly special about this one.

Ar - Lein V4

Get your leather and fur out of the closet for this one - the season finale of Ar-Lein is coming to Basement 45 at the end of the month to shake the building.

Boasting hyperpop, underground rap, glitch core and witch house flavours, Ar-Lein have been taking the Welsh alternative scene by storm, giving a platform for DJs to spin sounds influenced by artists such as 2hollis, snowstrippers, Draingang and more.

Now bringing their exceptional talent to Bristol, expect the rapidly selling night to satisfy your cravings, with a vibrant celebration of all things online culture and indie sleaze.
